who we are

our name

According to ancient Buddhist scriptures, a kasina is an object of visual meditation typically described as a colored disk. There are ten kasinas in all, categorized according to various colors and elements of nature.

For us, the word kasina has come to signify the unity and focus with which we see all aspects of our experience here, including our culture, work, and philosophy. We see all of these things as different components of the same essence - they are all working parts of a mechanism that can't function without all its parts in place.

A kasina meditation initially requires the practitioner to focus on a physical visual object until, with practice, the essence of the object can be called to mind without seeing its physical representation. The practitioner has to focus on the luminance or essence of the object.

The concept of the kasina reflects our core vision for our clients: our holistic approach to problem-solving and clear industry focus will help target not only the present issue, but the systemic changes that need to occur to ensure the most efficient possible solutions.
